Back To Campus – Condom Excuses

by admin on August 6, 2010

College students all over the country will soon start heading back to campus for all the fun and festivities the new school year brings. Between the parties, dance clubs, bars, and new relationships, students need to remember to keep sexual safety in mind.

We’ve heard all the excuses. Condoms are too expensive, I don’t want to carry condoms everywhere I go, condoms don’t feel good, or any of hundreds, if not thousands of lines for why condoms weren’t available at the time.

Let’s dissect a few of these excuses now:

1. Condoms are too expensive
Really? Nearly every university or college campus in the country has a student health center or some organization that gives away free condoms. Not digging the same lame condoms at the health center? Too embarrassed to pick them up? Try shopping online with prices as low as pennies per condom. Can’t afford twenty five cents to have a safe sexual experience? Maybe abstinence is a better method for you.

2. I don’t want to carry condoms everywhere I go.
Awful excuse. Not only are there many places to safely stash a condom (not your wallet or your car glove compartment), but condom storage isn’t rocket science either. If you’re on the go, try a condom compact. It’s safe, secure, and easily fits in a pocket or purse. Did we mention inconspicuous? No one will have a clue what’s inside the compact should it fall out in plain sight.

3. Condoms don’t feel good.
Maybe the worst excuse of them all. Today’s condoms aren’t 1970’s style plastic bag and a prayer. Today you can find condoms in many different sizes, types, and varieties. From warming to ribbed to vibrating to flavored to various lubrication types, condoms today make things better from beginning to end. If you can’t find a condom that makes it “feel good” you may want to think about not having sex.
